Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly plotting a move for Stuttgart’s Benjamin Pavard.

According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a move for Stuttgart defender Benjamin Pavard should Toby Alderweireld move on this summer.
Tottenham are one of the only Premier League clubs yet to make a new signing this summer, and Mauricio Pochettino will surely be pushing for new faces soon.
A number of players have actually been linked with leaving the club, as Mousa Dembele and Toby Alderweireld have both been touted elsewhere after years of being key players under Pochettino.
The 29-year-old has yet to sign a new contract, and having been left out of Pochettino’s side for much of 2018, many believe the Belgian will ultimately be sold in the coming weeks.
The Mirror now report that if Alderweireld goes, then Tottenham have already identified a potential replacement, with Stuttgart defender Benjamin Pavard allegedly wanted.
Pavard – who will play for France in the World Cup final this afternoon – has enjoyed a superb summer in Russia, having nailed down a starting place at right back ahead of Djibril Sidibe.

The 22-year-old has starred in Germany with Stuttgart since his 2016 move from Lille, making 57 appearances for the club whilst attracting interest from around Europe.
With the ability to play at right back and centre back, it’s claimed that Pavard’s versatility is hugely appealing to Pochettino, and Spurs could launch their move for him – if Alderweireld does move on.
