Tottenham Hotspur players are somewhat uncomfortable with the presence of Fabio Paratici and Steve Hitchen on the bench this season.
That’s according to The Sun, who claim that both Hitchen and Paratici have been jumping around in the technical area and shouting at officials.
An alleged Tottenham source has stated that the presence and behaviour of both men ‘just doesn’t sit right’ with Tottenham players.
Additionally, the substitutes on the bench don’t like the setup because they feel like they can’t talk freely with each other whilst two high-up officials are sat near them.
This setup appears unusual for Premier League clubs, but this is not something that Paratici has brought with him from Italy or anything like that.
No, this is due to protocols relating to the global pandemic; all staff in the ‘red zone’ have to be seated together, so Hitchen and Paratici are sat with Nuno Espirito Santo and co.

That will allegedly only be in place until October, with modified regulations set to come next month – and Tottenham players will be hoping for changes more than most.
It’s maybe one thing that they’re there in the first place, but the wild gesticulating can probably get a little annoying.
Despite that, Tottenham have won three from three to start the new seasons – so it isn’t hampering performance too much right now.
Let’s see what happens in the next month; maybe after this report, the conduct of Hitchen and Paratici will change drastically.
