According to Football London, Tottenham players are appreciative of Antonio Conte and his staff’s communication skills.
What’s the story?
Well, Football London‘s Alasdair Gold has revealed that the Tottenham squad have been left impressed by Conte’s honesty.
Before every game, the Italian is said to inform each and every player as to why they’re either in the starting lineup, or have been left out.
In our view, it would be strange to not do that – clearly, it doesn’t seem to be something that happened under Nuno Espirito Santo.
By not doing that, Conte would allow those who have been left out to let their minds wander, and start to jump to conclusions.
With all the distractions and media attention in football, it’s good to know why you’re not playing straight from the boss, rather than hear it from elsewhere.
Additionally, it gives those left out of the lineup something to focus on, so training becomes more targeted for players with improvements to make.
Antonio Conte will succeed at Tottenham

The early noises coming from Hotspur Way are that Tottenham players are enjoying life under Conte.
Interestingly, the 52-year-old has banned ketchup and mayonnaise from the canteen at Hotspur Way, as he looks to improve his squad’s fitness (The Athletic).
Conte also has a bell in training, which players can choose to ring if they feel like the intense work is becoming too hard to handle.

Of course, no player worth their salt would want to admit defeat, so that in itself is a genius ploy from the ex-Chelsea manager.
It’s these tiny details which make us believe Conte will succeed at Spurs.
Once he has Harry Kane, Heung-min Son, Cristian Romero and, perhaps most importantly, the wing-back duo of Sergio Reguilon and Emerson Royal clicking, things could get very exciting in N17.
