According to the Mirror, some Tottenham players believe Jose Mourinho has been harsh on Eric Dier and has left him struggling for belief.
The 27-year-old has largely been a mainstay in Mourinho’s starting XI this season, having began 19 of the club’s 22 Premier League games.
However, the £4 million signing from Sporting Lisbon was left out of the 2-0 win over West Brom on Sunday.
Dier also didn’t feature in the thrilling 5-4 FA Cup defeat to Everton.
The Mirror‘s update is an interesting one, as you’d imagine the centre-back is in Mourinho’s good books given how much game time he’s had this term.

A separate report from the Guardian revealed that Mourinho is concerned that his No.15 is suffering from a lack of confidence.
If that is the case, then why would he treat him harshly?
The Mirror add that there are concerns around the squad in regards to the ex-Chelsea boss’ man management style.

In that respect, you’d have to worry about how Mourinho is behaving around his players, as his actions are not having a great impact by all accounts.
Hopefully, Dier can regain his focus and confidence soon, as he can be a colossal defender on his day – something that Spurs are currently crying out for.
