Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose is close to moving to Genoa, the Daily Star claim, with his relationship with Jose Mourinho said to be at an ‘all-time low’.
The Star claim that Rose was annoyed when he was not handed a squad number by Tottenham and had to find out via a friend, rather than having any official communication from the club.
It is a rather sad way for Rose’s time at Tottenham to be coming to an end, after he spent 13 years with the North London side.
However, the move now looks like the best option for all parties.
Rose may still harbour ambitions of being in England’s squad for Euro 2021, and he was never going to break into the squad if he stayed at Tottenham.
With Sergio Reguilon set to arrive (BBC Sport) and Ben Davies still at the club, Rose simply has too many options ahead of him.

Daniel Levy is said to be willing to let Rose go for just £5 million, and Genoa are ready to pay that price for the experienced Tottenham man.
It is now expected that the switch to Italy will go through for the left-back, with his exit set to be sealed in the near future.
