According to The Sunday Mirror (06/06, p77), Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to give Real Madrid midfielder Isco a three-year contract.
However, their hopes of signing him have been dented because Carlo Ancelotti is now back at Real Madrid.
Zinedine Zidane wasn’t a huge fan of Isco, but Ancelotti likes him a lot and that could tempt the Spaniard into staying put after all.
Spurs were allegedly ready to give Isco a contract until 2024 in a deal worth around £14million.
Isco has just one year left on his deal, and Tottenham are allegedly keen to snap him up in a cut-price move.
With no manager and no director of football though, this would presumably mean Steve Hitchen is the one chasing Isco.

Once called ‘magic’, Isco has regressed
Mauricio Pochettino branded Isco ‘magic’ in 2017, but he is now 29 and has faded a little in recent times.
Tottenham need to find more creativity in midfield, and Isco could provide that. A new setting, a fresh start… it could be great for the Spaniard.
Yet with Ancelotti now in charge at Real, Tottenham’s hopes of securing Isco have been dealt a major blow.
