Tottenham Hotspur are planning to move for Aleksandr Mitrovic in the summer, report Teamtalk.

Teamtalk claim Tottenham had a deadline day move for the Fulham striker turned down by Fulham.

Fulham’s stance was understandable, given that Mitrovic is their biggest hope of surviving relegation.

However Spurs were reportedly offering £27 million, a fee which would have seen Fulham recoup the money they paid to sign the Serbian last summer.

Tottenham have not given up, with it reported that Spurs are planning a summer move if Fulham are relegated.

Right now that is looking likely. Fulham are in 19th place and seven points away from safety.

If Fulham do go down, Tottenham will be in a commanding position to sign Mitrovic.

They will be able to offer Champions League versus Championship, and Mitrovic will deserve an opportunity to play in the Premier League again.

He has been excellent this season, netting 10 times already for a struggling side.

Fulham will want a decent fee for the Serbian, but Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will look to turn the screw and pay below the money reportedly offered last month.
