Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to hand new deals to Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min.
According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur are planning to offer new contracts to both Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min in the near future.
Spurs have been renewing the contracts of their star players in recent years, and whilst concerns linger of Toby Alderweireld’s future, Tottenham appear to be pressing ahead with plans to tie other players down to new deals.
The Mirror claim that two players are now on Tottenham’s wish list in terms of new contracts, with Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min in line for new deals.
Eriksen, 25, has been a star for Tottenham ever since his 2013 move from Ajax, notching 36 goals and 44 assists in the Premier League during his time with Spurs.
The Danish international has been vital for manager Mauricio Pochettino as a creative force, and given that links with Barcelona appear to emerge every few months, it’s no wonder that Spurs want to keep him.
It’s noted that Eriksen earns £70,000-a-week on the deal he signed last season, and is in line for another pay upgrade as Spurs pursue another new contract for the playmaker.
Additionally, fellow 25-year-old Son is a priority for Spurs, having seen the South Korean hit 10 goals in all competitions this term, continuing to impress after notching 14 Premier League goals last season.
The 2015 signing from Bayer Leverkusen had his fair share of struggles in his first season with the club, but has now proven himself as a productive member of Pochettino’s squad, putting him in line for a new deal to improve on his £60,000-a-week wage.
