Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli has been attracting the attention of two of Europe’s heavyweights.

A report in the Daily Mail has suggested that Tottenham are optimistic that Dele Alli will be going nowhere this summer despite the midfielder attracting attention from the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City.
The 20-year-old has enjoyed yet another fantastic season at White Hart Lane, scoring 15 goals and contributing five assists for Mauricio Pochettino’s men in the Premier League to help them establish themselves as Chelsea’s nearest rivals this term.
The Mail reports that Alli signed a new deal recently with Spurs, but they were aware that two of Europe’s heavyweights were keeping a keen eye on the England international ahead of the summer.
However, the Mail adds that Tottenham are now not expecting any bids to come in for Alli with Real Madrid targeting Eden Hazard while City want to strengthen in other areas of the squad, leaving neither likely to make a move.
The Mail subtly hints however, that Spurs could be expecting a future battle trying to keep the former MK Dons starlet at the club by suggesting that their optimism only extends to events that will occur this summer at the moment.
It may perhaps be worth Pochettino and Daniel Levy telling themselves to expect Alli to start considering his future by the end of next season if Tottenham do not continue to move forward both domestically and in Europe.
Showing some more ambition in the transfer market and making strides on the pitch may send a crucial message to Alli – even if he actually has no desire to leave – about what direction the club is going in.
