Tottenham Hotspur are allegedly happy for the Cameroon international to leave the club for good.

According to Sunday’s print edition of French newspaper L’Equipe (11/06/17) and later posted online by Get French Football News, Tottenham Hotspur have opted not to bring attacker Clinton N’Jie back to the club following his loan move to Marseille.
The 23-year-old spent the season back in France after being deemed surplus to requirements by Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, but with Vincent Janssen under-performing and the North London club over-reliant on Harry Kane, there was a slim chance of N’Jie being recalled this summer.

While Marseille had the option to make the player’s move permanent, Tottenham had the chance to cancel that arrangement if they felt N’Jie still had something to offer them.
However, a return of four goals and one assist in 23 appearances has, unsurprisingly, not swayed Pochettino and he is seemingly happy to wave N’Jie goodbye for good.
Tottenham have not had the best of times with signings from Ligue 1, with N’Jie struggling to make an impact in the year following his move and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou following suit this time round.

The latter will be hoping he has more chances next season and beyond, but it seems N’Jie’s time as a Tottenham player has run out.
The automatic buyout clause means Marseille will now take N’Jie on for at least another season, in which time he will be hoping to improve and ultimately prove Tottenham were wrong to cast him aside so soon.
As for Spurs, they will be focused on signing the players that can take them to the next level in 2018 and beyond.
