Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly firming up their interest in Dani Ceballos.

According to AS, Tottenham Hotspur have opened talks with Real Madrid about a deal to sign playmaker Dani Ceballos on loan.
Spurs have tied up two signings this week by landing Jack Clarke and loaning him back to Leeds United, and also breaking their transfer record to sign Tanguy Ndombele.
Mauricio Pochettino will now turn his attention to landing a playmaker, with concerns about Christian Eriksen’s future in North London – and Ceballos is emerging as a major target.
It’s claimed that Spurs have opened talks about a loan deal for Ceballos, with the possibility of a permanent move in a year, which would cost €60million (£54million).
The 22-year-old has struggled for playing time with Real since arriving from Real Betis in 2017, and Zinedine Zidane is believed to have told him to move on in order to play more regularly.
Ceballos really caught the eye at the Under-21 European Championships this summer, serving up some superb, creative displays as Spain ran out champions.

The news comes just hours after Marca reported that Liverpool were in the race for Ceballos, and Spurs have seemingly firmed up their interest in order to beat the Reds to his signature.
A loan isn’t exactly ideal unless it has a permanent clause included, and it will now be interesting to see whether Spurs prioritise a loan deal for Ceballos over a permanent deal for another target like Giovani Lo Celso.
