Federico Bernardeschi could be offered to Tottenham Hotspur as part of a swap deal involving Tanguy Ndombele and, according to Calciomercato, the Italy international is keen on a move to the Premier League.
When you consider Spurs have already turned down an offer from Inter Milan that would have seen Ndombele and Ivan Perisic swap clubs, it seems unlikely Juve will succeed where their Serie A rivals failed.
After all, Jose Mourinho is a huge fan of Perisic, the Champions League-winning winger he described as “fantastic” and tried desperately to sign for Manchester United in summer 2017 (Calciomercato).
And while Ndombele was less Moussa Dembele and more Paulinho during a disappointing debut season in north London, the £63 million Frenchman still has plenty of admirers at Tottenham.
It seems neither Mourinho nor Daniel Levy are prepared to throw in the towel and give up on arguably Spurs’ most naturally gifted midfielder yet.
But that hasn’t stopped Juventus from trying to twist Tottenham’s arm.

What’s more, Bernardeschi is keen on the idea of swapping the Italian champions for England.
The £33 million former Fiorentina talisman has flattered to deceive since following in the footsteps of the legendary Roberto di Baggio, starting just 19 league games last season while contributing a single goal and assist.
New Juve coach Andrea Pirlo could channel his inner Pep by transforming Bernardeschi into a rampaging right-back in a new-look 3-5-2 system, according to Tuttosport, suggesting the big-money benchwarmer could be offered a chance to breathe fresh life into his stuttering career.
“Bernardeschi is strong, he has technical and physical ability. He must find consistency and he certainly has to mature as a footballer, but I never had any doubts about his ability,” said Pirlo’s predecessor Maurizio Sarri, who felt the 26-year-old would be better off in the middle rather than out wide.
“I still think he can become a great central midfielder.”
