Tottenham Hotspur supporters probably aren’t hugely familiar with Tobi Omole, a former Arsenal youth.

The Lilywhites youngster might be 22 but the towering, powerful figure hasn’t yet made his senior debut for the Londoners.

He came relatively close earlier in the season when Tottenham – then under Nuno Espirito Santo – included him in a couple of Europa Conference League squads.

However, Omole, who joined Spurs from North London rivals Arsenal as recently as October of 2020, didn’t make it off the bench in either game.

Nevertheless, he clearly impressed Nuno, when you consider that the Portuguese manager also included him in a number of senior training sessions at Hotspur Way.

And it seems like he has impressed Antonio Conte, too.

According to All Nigerian Soccer, the Italian manager has included Omole as part of his Premier League squad for the second half of the campaign.

The report has added that Tottenham have also offered Omole a new contract, underlining what the higher-ups at the club think about him and his potential.

Omole, a centre-back, is more than likely out of contract in North London this summer.

However, it remains to be seen if he actually signs an extension.

At 22, he desperately needs to start playing senior football on a regular basis and if that doesn’t look likely under Conte next season – which it doesn’t at this moment in time – then perhaps leaving this summer wouldn’t be the worst idea.
