Tottenham Hotspur are now the ‘most likely’ destination for Nicolas Gonzalez after Fiorentina pull out of the race, Fiorentina IT suggest.
The Italian website claims that Tottenham are now in pole position to sign the winger, alongside Brighton & Hove Albion.
Gonzalez appears to have become one of Fabio Paratici’s first targets at Spurs.
The Argentine has been on Tottenham’s radar for some time, but they seem to be pushing on with their interest now.
Strong addition?
Gonzalez is a hard working attacker who, at the age of 24, still has room to improve.
He netted six goals in 15 Bundesliga games for Stuttgart last term, and has a steady scoring record in Germany. He has also been called an ‘amazing talent’ by Fabrizio Romano (Last Word on Spurs)

If he was to arrive at Tottenham he may not be a permanent starter, but he would add even more competition for places in attacking areas – as he could play right across the front-four.
And with Spurs now apparently leading the way for the forward, the move could progress quickly, if the latest update is to be believed.
