According to Marca, Tottenham are satisfied with a €15m (£13m) bid from Villarreal for Giovani Lo Celso.
What’s the story?
Well, after taking the Argentina international on loan last season, Unai Emery is interested in a reunion with the South American.
Marca believe Villarreal have proposed a season-long loan for Lo Celso, which includes an obligation to buy him for £13m in the summer of 2023.
Despite the fact they paid £27.2m to sign the midfielder from Real Betis in January 2020, Tottenham are happy to accept Villarreal’s offer, according to the Spanish news outlet.
That would see Spurs record a £14.7m loss on the man signed by Mauricio Pochettino, initially on loan before the deal was made permanent the following January under José Mourinho.

Marca add that Lo Celso is desperate to rejoin Villarreal, where he knows he will play regularly ahead of the World Cup in November.
The 26-year-old made 15 appearances in La Liga for Villarreal last season, while also making six appearances in the Champions League as Villarreal reached the semi-finals.
Tottenham shouldn’t agree to Giovani Lo Celso clause
In our view, Fabio Paratici would be a fool to agree to this £13m purchase option.
Lo Celso shone at the highest level for Villarreal last season, winning the Man of the Match award as the Yellow Submarine knocked Bayern Munich out of the Champions League quarter-finals.

The Tottenham No.18 also played a vital role in the Round of 16 victory over Juventus, as he lasted 90 minutes in the first leg, a 1-1 draw, before starring for 74 minutes as Villarreal won the second leg by a 3-0 scoreline.
Clearly, Lo Celso is a quality player, and should he enjoy more success in Spain, his value could far exceed £13m by this time next year.
Make no mistake about it, Tottenham would be taking a risk if they agreed to such a deal.
