Tottenham Hotspur’s search for a new head of recruitment continues.
According to a report from Football London, Tottenham Hotspur are not interested in bringing Bayern Munich’s technical director Michael Reschke to White Hart Lane.
There had been suggestions that Spurs were looking to bring the Bayern supremo in as a replacement for outgoing head of recruitment Paul Mitchell. However, that is now said to be wide of the mark.
Mitchell – formerly of Southampton – is serving a notice period after signalling his desire to leave last year, and given his track record of identifying targets he will not be an easy man to replace.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will be looking far and wide to bring in the right man. However with Football London suggesting it will not be Reschke, the search seems to be ongoing.
Tottenham are currently impressing in the Premier League and have one of the best academies in the country.
That said, they will not want to stand still and will always be on the lookout for new talent, making a successor to Mitchell a priority for Levy in the months ahead.
