Tottenham Hotspur have missed out on signing long term transfer target Yunus Malli.
German newspaper BILD report Malli has sealed a £10.6 million switch from Mainz to Wolfsburg, signing a deal until 2021.
He replaces Julian Draxler who completed a big move to French champions Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month.

Malli had a release clause for £7.5 million which could have been activated in the summer, but Wolfsburg paid a little extra to get their man now.
The Mirror reported last July that Tottenham remained keen on the Turkey international, who has drawn comparisons to Mesut Ozil due to his playing style and heritage.
The Mail had claimed months earlier that Malli featured prominently on Mauricio Pochettino’s list of transfer targets.

The 24-year-old has scored seven goals this season and provided seven assists in combined Bundesliga and Europa League appearances.
Malli could have found his playing time limited at Spurs by Christian Eriksen but he could have provided genuine competition for the Dane, who has found form after a slow start to the season.
His fee represents a real bargain, and Tottenham may go on to regret not taking the gamble.
