According to a report from the Daily Mirror, Victor Wanyama is on Fenerbahce’s shopping list this summer as Tottenham look to raise further funds ahead of the final stages of the transfer window.

The Mirror reports that Spurs are closing in on spending £80 million with moves for both Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon looking much more likely.

The Champions League finalists have already broken their transfer record to sign Tanguy Ndombele and have also signed Jack Clarke from Leeds during this window.

The report notes that Spurs are looking to offload some of their fringe players to hand their transfer kitty a boost. The Mirror suggests that Fulham want Josh Onomah and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, while Vincent Janssen is heading to Mexico after a torrid spell in the Premier League.

And it appears that another player who could potentially be on the move is Wanyama, with the Mirror adding that Fener want the Kenya international, who, according to BBC Sport, cost Spurs £11 million when he joined from Southampton in 2016.

It appears that the Turkish side have a tough task on their hands however, with Wanyama telling ESPN this week that he is not going anywhere this summer despite the arrival of Ndombele.

Wanyama has had a tough time over the last two seasons, making just 31 Premier League appearances across the campaigns. He missed just two games the year before.

It will be interesting to see whether Wanyama’s plans change should Fenerbahce follow up their interest with a bid that Spurs are willing to accept. With £80 million reportedly about to be spent on two new signings, Tottenham may well be keen to complete a sale before the window closes.
