Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly pushing for Hamburg striker Jann-Fiete Arp.
According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur have made enquiries about signing Hamburg’s teenage striker Jann-Fiete Arp.
Spurs snapped up one new striker back on deadline day in August, as veteran hitman Fernando Llorente joined the club from Swansea City to provide competition for Harry Kane in Mauricio Pochettino’s attack.
Whilst Kane has continued to score regularly, Llorente has scored just twice in 22 games for Spurs, and given that he turns 33 in February, Spurs may still eye up another younger striker.
The Mirror now report that Spurs have made enquiries into the possibility of signing Hamburg striker Jann-Fiete Arp, who has taken Bundesliga by storm this season.
Arp, 18, has been on the books with Hamburg since 2010, and has stepped up into the first team this season, scoring twice in nine games for the Bundesliga side whilst turning in a host of impressive displays.
The striker has hit 18 goals in 19 caps for Germany at Under-17 level, and looks set for a huge future, sparking interest from Spurs as they weigh up signing a new attacker.
Arp, as reported by BBC Sport, idolises Spurs star Kane, and if Tottenham get their way, the duo could end up playing alongside each other in North London – but Hamburg will be desperate to keep hold of their star prodigy.
