Tottenham could face frustration in their pursuit of AC Milan winger Suso.
According to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Tottenham Hotspur have made contact over the possibility of signing AC Milan winger Suso – but neither the club nor the player are interested.
Spurs have been quiet in the transfer market so far this summer, failing to sign a player or even sell a first-team star – though the latter could be drawing closer, given that BBC Sport report that a deal has been agreed to sell Kyle Walker to Manchester City.
Suso
Now, Tottenham may press ahead with moves to bring new signings to North London, with a new winger almost certainly one of Mauricio Pochettino’s top priorities this summer.
Erik Lamela has been out of action since October, whilst Georges-Kevin Nkoudou and Moussa Sissoko enjoyed little success following their moves to Spurs last summer.
Now, Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Tottenham have enquired about signing AC Milan winger Suso, making contact over the possibility of a deal – but they could be left disappointed.
It’s claimed that not only are Milan not interested in selling Suso, but the player himself isn’t ready to consider the move either, meaning Spurs face a double frustration in their pursuit, but will continue regardless.
AC Milan’s Suso
Formerly of Liverpool, 23-year-old Spaniard Suso hit seven goals and nine assists last season in an impressive campaign for Milan, and Tottenham are now keen to give him a belated chance in the Premier League having struggled for playing time at Liverpool.
Primarily a right-sided winger who cuts in on his left foot, Suso could provide what Spurs lack with Lamela out of the side, but it seems that Tottenham face an uphill task convincing Milan and Suso into a deal.
