According to the Daily Star, Tottenham Hotspur have put feelers out for Red Bull Salzburg boss Jesse Marsch.
It’s claimed that Spurs have made contact in an effort to bring Marsch to North London having missed out on Julian Nagelsmann.
RB Leipzig boss Nagelsmann is heading to Bayern Munich, and Brendan Rodgers has now become Tottenham’s new top target, according to this report.
Spurs allegedly don’t think they can get Rodgers though, and that’s why contact has now been initiated for Marsch.
The American coach has impressed with Salzburg, winning 67% of his games in charge whilst helping develop the likes of Erling Haaland, Dominik Szoboszlai, Hwang Hee-chan and Patson Daka.
That’s the sort of coach Tottenham are looking for, and reports from The Scottish Sun in March suggested that Celtic also fancy Marsch as their new manager.

Unfortunately, it looks like Tottenham’s contact has come all too late, as Fabrizio Romano reports that Marsch will become the new RB Leipzig boss, replacing Nagelsmann.
Marsch has been in the Red Bull system for years; first managing New York Red Bulls, then becoming Leipzig assistant, then Salzburg boss.
Heading to Leipzig makes sense for Marsch, and it looks like Tottenham will have to go back to the drawing board once again.
