Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to free up some space in their squad ahead of a busy summer of transfers.

Tottenham's Vincent Janssen

According to the London Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is hoping to sell Moussa Sissoko, Vincent Janssen, Michel Vorm and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou this summer.

Three of the four players only arrived at White Hart Lane last summer, with Sissoko signing for £30million from Newcastle United (BBC), Janssen costing £17million from AZ Alkmaar (BBC) and N’Koudou completing a £9million move from Marseille (BBC).

Vorm moved to Tottenham from Swansea City in 2014 on a free transfer but he has been very much back-up ever since and it would be no surprise if he moved on in pursuit of regular first-team football, especially if Spurs complete a permanent move for loanee Pau Lopez.

Tottenham are committed to paying Newcastle the full £30million for Sissoko even if he leaves next month, so Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will want to get back as much of that fee as possible.

Janssen may have struggled for goals in his first campaign in England, but his performances in the Netherlands proved his worth and there are likely to be a few clubs interested if he did move on.

N’Koudou is something of an enigma and Tottenham may struggle to recoup the full £9million for a winger who has only shown brief glimpses of his talent this season.

Tottenham will understand the importance of getting it right in the upcoming transfer window. They simply cannot afford to have a success rate of one-in-four this time round, with Victor Wanyama the only signing from last summer to have been a success thus far.
