Report: Tottenham looking at Bologna’s Adam Masina amid Danny Rose exit reports

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing potential targets should Danny Rose leave in the near future.

According to a report from the Daily Mirror, Tottenham are keeping a keen eye on Bologna full-back Adam Masina as they brace themselves to potentially lose Danny Rose at some stage in the near future.

The Mirror reports Manchester United are keen to sign Rose from Spurs during the January transfer window. And while it is not clear how Daniel Levy plans to respond to any bid that may come in for the left-back, it is perhaps a sign that they may be ready to consider some bids as they are now looking at potential replacements.

One player grabbing their attention, according to the Mirror, is Masina, who is approaching the final 18 months of his contract with the Serie A outfit, and thus, may be in line for a move during one of the upcoming windows.

The Mirror adds that Spurs will not have a clear path to his signature with Sevilla keen to rival the Premier League heavyweights for Masina, who made a handful of appearances for Italy’s under-21 side.

Masina has been one of Bologna’s most impressive players this season, featuring in 13 of their 14 top flight games this term and helping the side put themselves at the top of the pack chasing the European places in Serie A – though they are already six points back of sixth place Sampdoria having played one game more.

Stepping into Rose’ shoes will certainly be a tough act for the 23-year-old, but given his form this season and that his contract does not have long left to run, it may not be out of the question to suggest that if does join Pochettino’s side, he may have the potential to prove a brilliant signing for Tottenham.
