Can Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool or Southampton get their hands on the teenage Frenchman?

Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Southampton are among clubs to have ‘made up their minds’ about free-scoring French teenager Elye Wahi, Le Parisien reports.

14-year-old Wahi is said to have scored 89 goals last season at under-14 and under-15 levels, ‘whetting the appetite’ of Tottenham, Liverpool and Southampton, along with Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus.

However, because of his age, the interested parties will have to put their interest on hold until the SM Caen player’s 16th birthday.

Just like Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, Wahi had been on the books of JS Suresnes before moving to Caen, although it is a Liverpool player with whom he is claimed to have evoked comparisons.

“He is a powerful, technical, fast and agile striker. He has a sense of purpose even if I find him a little too individualistic. “He’s a player with a lot of potential, it makes me think of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain,” one Premier League scout is quoted as telling Le Parisien.

Incidentally, winger Oxlade-Chamberlain is a product of Southampton’s academy, and spent six years at Tottenham’s north London rivals, Arsenal, before signing for Liverpool in a £35 million deal this summer.

Should Wahi choose Tottenham, Liverpool, Southampton or other?
