Dembele has just one year left on his Spurs contract and Inter are keen to buy, with Tottenham wanting a high fee.
D’Ambrosio, 29, is a right-back who made his international debut for Italy last year.
Spurs are well set at right-back, with Kieran Trippier, Serge Aurier, and Kyle Walker-Peters all current options.
It would be a surprise therefore, if Spurs took up the option to sign D’Ambrosio, unless they decided to sell Aurier and send Walker-Peters out on loan.
D’Ambrosio is a player who has been linked to Tottenham before, back in 2015.
The Express, referencing an Italian report, claimed at the time that Spurs were keen on D’Ambrosio.
Calciomercato meanwhile claim D’Ambrosio could be offered a new contract extension at Inter, so the current reports are conflicting to say the least.
