According to Inter Live, Tottenham lead the race to sign Inter Milan defender Stefan de Vrij, who is also a target for Everton and Newcastle.

What’s the story?

Well, Antonio Conte knows the Dutchman well from his time at the San Siro, and he’s keen on a reunion in north London.

Inter Live believe Spurs are first in the queue to sign De Vrij, and the Italian giants are open to selling their No.6 as they aim to overhaul the squad.

Inter have their eyes on Torino defender Gleison Bremer, and would be happy to offload the 30-year-old to Tottenham if it helps them afford the Brazilian.

Spurs do, however, face competition from Barcelona, as well as Everton and Newcastle.

It was FC Inter News who revealed that Newcastle are interested, whereas 90min claimed that Everton want De Vrij.

Good opportunity for Tottenham, Everton and Newcastle

In our view, De Vrij is one of the best defenders in Europe, and the Premier League trio have a great chance of signing him this summer.

In addition to the fact Inter Milan are willing to sell him, the £116,000-a-week man’s contract situation also bodes well for Spurs, the Toffees and the Magpies.

De Vrij’s contract expires in June 2023, so if Inter Milan fail to sell him this year, then they risk losing one of their most valuable assets for nothing in 2023.

As aforesaid, the Italian giants are hoping to overhaul the squad, so they certainly won’t want to lose him for nothing.

Keep an eye on this saga, as it seems De Vrij could soon be heading to the Premier League.
