Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly hoping to finally sign Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial.

According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur are keen to finally land Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial at the end of the season having failed with a 2015 move for him.
Martial, 21, emerged as one of French football’s top young players with Lyon and then Monaco, with 12 goals in 48 games during the 2014-15 season earning him a huge move to Manchester United.
The French international, who can play up front or out wide, became the world’s most expensive teenager by making the move to Old Trafford, as United forked out £36million, rising to £58million (BBC Sport), to land Martial.
His impact was immediate; having come on as a substitute for his debut against Liverpool, Martial danced through the Reds defence to score, and he enjoyed a superb season with 17 goals in all competitions.
This season has been much tougher for Martial having started just 10 Premier League games under unconvinced manager Jose Mourinho, and whilst he notched a goal and an assist in Saturday’s 2-0 home win over Watford, his future at Old Trafford is in some doubt.
Now, The Mirror report that Tottenham Hotspur are again interested in signing Martial, having failed to land him from Monaco in 2015, just months before he joined United.

France Football reported in the summer of 2015 that Spurs were closing in on a €25million (£21million) deal to sign Martial, but the move fell through and he ended up joining the Red Devils at almost treble the price in total.
With Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino allegedly looking to add more pace to his attack, Martial fits the bill perfectly, and will hope that Mourinho is willing to part with the forward at the end of the season.
However, his superb display against Watford may give Martial a chance to shine from now until the summer, and United would surely want to recoup most of their money anyway, meaning Daniel Levy would have to dig deep to get a player who has been coveted by Pochettino for almost two years now.
