Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race for Iliman Ndiaye having scouted the Sheffield United star in action.

That is according to the Daily Mail, who report that Spurs are showing a keen interest in signing Iliman Ndiaye this summer.

The report claims that Spurs scouted Ndiaye in action for Sheffield United against Preston North End last weekend.

Ndiaye scored in a thumping 4-1 win for the Blades, who had already secured promotion before that victory.

The 23-year-old has ended the campaign with 14 goals and 10 assists in 46 appearances for Paul Heckingbottom’s side.

Now heading to the Premier League with Sheffield United, Ndiaye will hope to make a big impact but will be the source of interest this summer.

Spurs are now interested whilst Everton have been keen on signing him since the January transfer window.

Sheffield United will be under no pressure to sell though and it’s hard to imagine Ndiaye leaving this summer.

Iliman Ndiaye scored ‘wonderful’ goal against Tottenham

Spurs were able to see Ndiaye first-hand in March as they travelled to face Sheffield United in the FA Cup.

The former Marseille talent was only on the bench but came on to make a huge impact.

Ndiaye, just moments after coming on, jinked his way past two Tottenham defenders and fired home the winning goal for the Blades.

Martin Keown hailed the goal as ‘wonderful’ as Ndiaye helped Sheffield United ultimately reach the FA Cup semi-finals.

That result contributed to Antonio Conte’s exit as it ensured that Tottenham would end another season without a trophy.

Ndiaye is now seemingly wanted in North London, an area he should know fairly well having previously played for Boreham Wood, less than an hour away from Tottenham.

A summer deal seems hard to imagine but Ndiaye – hailed as a ‘trickster’ – is one for Spurs fans to keep an eye on moving forward.
