CalcioMercato claim that Liverpool and Manchester United have been joined by Tottenham and Juventus in the race to sign Leicester City playmaker Youri Tielemans. £25million might be enough for the Belgian.

Tielemans, 24, has been a revelation for Leicester. Bought initially on loan from Monaco in January 2019 after a failed spell in France, he has rejuvenated his career – now a club icon for his goal in the FA Cup final.

Three game short of 150 for Leicester, he has 46 goal involvements – scoring 24 and creating 22. But now, the 49-time Belgium international is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract and Leicester might have to sell up.

The Telegraph claim that Leicester could accept offers of just £25million. A bargain fee for a player that Robbie Keane urged Tottenham to sign earlier this year, on Premier League TV: “They could do someone like him.”

Now, CalcioMercato claim that Tottenham have joined Liverpool and Manchester United want to sign Tielemans – as is Juventus. Whether Fabio Paratici can beat his old side to the punch, remains to be seen.

Tottenham eye Tielemans: £25m ace would be a stunning signing

Where would he fit in, though? Tottenham are thriving with a 3-4-3 system that includes Rodrigo Bentancur and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. While Tielemans would be another brilliant option, would the Belgian start?

Would Tielemans be happy with joining a side where he would arguably be a rotation option? Perhaps, if they are playing in the Champions League. It would also allow Conte to use a 3-5-2 system, more like his Inter team.
