The Athletic claim Tottenham have joined Arsenal and Chelsea in the race to sign Leeds United winger Raphinha this summer. The Brazilian is keen on a move, but had his heart set on a deal with Barcelona.
However, Barcelona have been unable to match the asking price set by Leeds. Spanish newspaper SPORT, among others, reports that Leeds want £55million in one payment. Barcelona cannot afford that valuation.

The likes of West Ham and Arsenal have been previously linked with Raphinha this summer – and now, Tottenham are ready to make their move. They are keen on a deal for the Leeds star, but the report says they are not alone.
Indeed, The Athletic says Arsenal and Chelsea also want Raphinha – who had a hand in 14 goals in 35 Premier League outings last season; 11 goals, three assists. A player Tim Sherwood urged Spurs to sign earlier this season.
Tottenham have joined race to sign Leeds winger Raphinha
Raphinha is a player that is widely deemed as one of those that can improve and Premier League side. Certainly, his ability to take games by the scruff of the neck and change them on a whim has seriously impressed.
Tottenham have Dejan Kulusevski on the right – but could lose cover in Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura, the latter being a target for Juventus. Spurs do need options in the final third, including competition for Son Heung-min.
Raphinha would be a stunning signing for Spurs – if they can convince him to join, even though he might not be first choice. He will surely want to remain first choice, with the Qatar World Cup incoming at the end of the year.
