Barcelona’s Andre Gomes is reportedly keen on a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

According to Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Tottenham Hotspur is the preferred destination of Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes this summer.
Gomes, 24, starred with Valencia following a 2014 move from Benfica, and he was expected to become a star with Barcelona after his big-money 2016 switch to the Camp Nou.
The Portugal international has struggled to live up to his billing though, and after a disappointing campaign under Luis Enrique, he was virtually frozen out by Ernesto Valverde last season.
Gomes needs to move on this summer, especially having been left out of Barcelona’s pre-season tour, and Mundo Deportivo report that he has been considering his options.
It’s claimed that Gomes sees Tottenham Hotspur as his ideal destination this summer, as he thinks he can kickstart his career under Mauricio Pochettino and his style of play.
The report notes that Tottenham tried to sign Gomes at the end of last summer but the deal fell through, and it seems that he hasn’t forgotten, and hopes they come back in for him.

Spurs appear to be in the market for a midfielder this summer whether Mousa Dembele leaves or not, and given his availability and the fact that Barcelona clearly don’t want him, Gomes should be on Pochettino’s radar.
It’s also added that if Spurs don’t move for him, then he still wants a move to the Premier League, and he has severed ties with agent Jorge Mendes in a bid to get a move to England this summer.
