According to a report from Fussball Transfers, Tottenham are interested in signing Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic this summer.
The Croatian is currently on loan in Germany with Bayern Munich, who have an option to sign him permanently.
Perisic prefers a stay with the Bundesliga champions but the report claims that that Bayern will struggle to pay the £18 million clause inserted in his contract.
Antonio Conte’s side are willing to sell him for about £13.5 million, still over £3.5 million more than what Bayern are willing to pay at the moment.
If Bayern refuse to meet Inter’s demands, the Nerazzurri will consider selling him elsewhere with Tottenham and Manchester United both reportedly interested in his services.
Perisic has been on Jose Mourinho’s wish list for a while now. The self-proclaimed ‘special one’ wanted to sign the Croatian when he was at the helm at Manchester United a few years ago.
Mourinho told Russia TV: “Perisic, he went from Croatia to Dortmund to Wolfsburg to Inter. I don’t know why he didn’t come to Manchester (United) when I wanted him.”

The Spurs boss failed to sign him a couple of years ago but he could finally get his wish this summer. Tottenham, like many other clubs, are struggling for cash and are on the lookout for cheap deals.
The Croatian at £13.5 million would be a fantastic piece of business by Daniel Levy if he manages to get him this summer.
Perisic, a World Cup finalist in 2018, is hugely experienced. He has been a consistent performer for both club and country over the years, and he could help Tottenham massively next season.
