The PSV ace is attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
PSV Eindhoven winger Steven Bergwijn
According to the Mirror, Spurs are keeping close tabs on PSV Eindhoven wonderkid Steven Bergwijn, with the Hammers also thought to be closely monitoring the teenager.
The 19-year-old Dutch ace has already chalked up two goals and an assist in seven outings for PSV in the Eredivisie so far this season, and his performances have not gone unnoticed.
The lively wide man can play on either flank, is comfortable using both feet, and possesses blistering pace – something that both Tottenham and West Ham are in need of.
Slaven Bilic and Mauricio Pochettino
Bergwijn still has just under four years remaining on his current deal with the Eredivisie league leaders, so it will surely take a fairly substantial fee to prise him away from the Philips Stadion.
The Mirror claim that Spurs and the Hammers will not have things all their own way in their pursuit of the talented teen, however, with a whole host of clubs monitoring his situation.
Steven Bergwijn
It could be argued that if the Dutch youngster is to leave Holland, he might be better served in joining Slaven Bilic’s side, rather than Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
He would surely have more opportunities of regular first-team football at the London Stadium, what with the Spurs squad being jam packed with world class talent.
The lure of Champions League football with Tottenham could very well be hard to resist for Bergwijn, however, and with the opening of the January transfer window not too far away, this will be one to keep a close eye on.
