Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly scouting the two Bundesliga-based players.
According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Bayer Leverkusen right-back Benjamin Henrichs and Hoffenheim wide man Jeremy Toljan.
Spurs are said to have sent scouts to watch the pair and the news is interesting when you consider doubts over the long-term future of Kyle Walker and, to a lesser extent, Danny Rose.
Tottenham will be hoping to keep hold of both players, the latter in particular, but it seems their manager Mauricio Pochettino is keeping his options open in terms of potential future targets.
The Sky Sports report adds that Henrichs has recently put pen to paper on a new long-term deal until the summer of 2022. However Toljan is only contracted to Hoffenheim for another year and his versatility could make him a savvy signing for the North London club in due course.
Toljan can play anywhere across the defence (with left-back one of his favoured positions) or on either wing and with Tottenham needing additional quality from wide areas their interest comes as no surprise.
At 22, Toljan would represent good value for money if Tottenham make a bid this summer, while 20-year-old Henrichs could be seen as a potential future option if he continues to impress over the next few years.
Tottenham are likely to be busy in the transfer market, with additions in defence, midfield and up front expected before the window closes in September.
