According to L’Equipe, Tottenham are interested in signing Ángel Di María from Paris Saint-Germain.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have offered the 104-cap Argentina international a new contract.
However, the terms of the deal do not currently satisfy the wing wizard, who cost the Parisians £44.3 million when they signed him from Manchester United.
At 32 years of age, Di María is arguably past his peak, although he still has plenty to offer and is a player of real quality.
In 16 Ligue 1 outings this season, the former Real Madrid attacker has scored three goals while also recording seven assists.
Additionally, in five Champions League outings, he has scored once and registered three assists this term.

In our view, Tottenham don’t really need another winger, with Steven Bergwijn, Gareth Bale, Lucas Moura and Heung-min Son already in their ranks.
However, if they were to sign the PSG No.11, then at least he’s a player who knows Jose Mourinho well.
The pair worked alongside each other at Real Madrid, where Di María described the former Chelsea boss as a ‘special’ manager.

The South American told MARCA (via Goal): “There is no doubt that Mourinho is a coach very special to me. With him I have improved each year and it pains me that because of injuries last season I could not give more.”
As aforesaid, Di María perhaps isn’t a player Tottenham should be prioritising right now.
However, if his contract situation makes him available, and affordable, the north Londoners would be silly not to try and sign him.
