Spurs look set to enjoy a lucrative deal for the naming rights of their new stadium.
General view of White Hart Lane
Tottenham Hotspur will be playing their Champions League fixture against Monaco this evening at Wembley Stadium. This is due to the work ongoing at White Hart Lane, as Spurs prepare to move into a new home at the start of the 2018-19 season.
It is now being reported that Spurs are in talks with the Qatar Investment Authority over a naming-rights deal for the new stadium.
The fund is said by The Times to be interested in paying a large fee in order to name the stadium.

Negotiations are said to have intensified after Spurs learned of the fund’s association with Spanish giants Barcelona coming to an end.
The QIA is likely to be impressed with Spurs’ ability to sell out Wembley for the game this evening and that will no doubt aid Tottenham’s bargaining power.
The wealth of the fund is vast and will no doubt be a big boost for the club but some Spurs fans will no doubt be concerned.
Tottenham’s new stadium would likely have a name alluding to Qatar, rather than the heritage of the club.
It will be interesting to see how this story develops in the months to come.
