Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly challenging Arsenal for the signing of Lyon midfielder Lucas Tousart.

According to Calciomercato, Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs interested in snapping up Lyon midfielder Lucas Tousart this summer, with a €25million price tag on his head.
Tousart, 20, came up through the ranks with Valenciennes before heading to Lyon in 2015, where he has been attempting to establish himself.
The midfielder has made made more than 75 first-team appearances for Lyon, scoring just the two goals, whilst even earning comparisons to current France boss and ex-Chelesa midfielder Didier Deschamps.

Tousart looks set for a bright future, and Calciomercato report that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Tousart this summer, as Mauricio Pochettino seeks midfield reinforcements.
The report also notes that Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan are also keen on Tousart, with Lyon wanting around €25million (£22million) for his services.
Lyon will be focusing on keeping Tanguy Ndombele and Houssem Aouar at the club this summer, and could be open to letting Tousart go if they receive a good enough bid.

A strong player who can play as a holding midfielder or in central midfield, Tousart could be a vital option in the Spurs midfield, especially with Pochettino pursuing Mousa Dembele’s successor.
Tousart may fit the bill, but with such strong competition for his signature, Spurs may need to move quickly to sign the France Under-21 international.
