Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is thought to be eyeing up additions for the January transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail Tottenham Hotspur chief scout Steve Hitchen has been sent on a scouting mission to South America.

Tottenham are thought to be open to do business in the January transfer window, and Hitchen has his eye out on players.

Spurs are thought to be targeting the South American market, with Hitchen based on the continent in recent times.

It has been suggested that the scouting move hints that Pochettino is set to stay, as it looks like a transfer plan drawn up by the manager.

Pochettino has faced criticism at Tottenham this season, after their poor start to the campaign.

However, it seems that the Spurs board do not consider his position to be under threat at this current stage.

Spurs may be in ninth place in the Premier League table, but Tottenham’s board have faith in Pochettino turning things around.

And it seems that additions could be bought in January, as Spurs look to snap out of their slump and start performing to their maximum potential once again.
