Tottenham are still hopeful of concluding a deal for Davinson Sanchez.

Tottenham Hotspur’s latest offer for Davinson Sanchez is still falling short of Ajax’s asking price, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Tottenham’s latest offer is reported to total 36 million Euros, 33 of which would be up front plus a further three million in installments. This converts to £33m in total.

Ajax however are holding out for 42 million Euros (£38m), putting Tottenham’s offer £5 million short of Ajax’s asking price.

Tottenham’s latest offer is a record bid on their part, but at present it looks like they will have to increase it to try and convince the Dutch club to sell the centre-back.

Di Marzio speculates a deal could be done within 48 hours.

Meanwhile Dutch website Telesport report Sanchez has agreed personal terms on a five-year deal with Sanchez.

It is claimed Sanchez has rejected a new contract offer from Ajax to put him among the club’s top earners.

However it notes Spurs and Ajax are ‘miles apart’ in valuations of the player.
