Alex Pritchard is back at White Hart Lane following a spell at West Bromwich Albion.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Alex Pritchard is a target for Newcastle United, a report in Tuesday’s Sun newspaper (page 50) claims.
Pritchard, who shone on loan at Brentford in 2014-15, prompting a call-up to England’s squad for the European Under-21 Championship, signed a new four-year deal with the Londoners last summer.
However, injury has hindered the 23-year-old’s progress and he was loaned out again, this time to Premier League West Bromwich Albion, to little success.

The Baggies called on Pritchard’s services just four times in as many months and he returns to Tottenham with his future uncertain.
Sky Sports reported last month that Spurs would be willing to offload the attacking midfielder, who they value at £8 million, however another loan deal would allow them time to reassess.
Newcastle dropped out of the Premier League last season and manager Rafa Benitez has been linked with a host of second tier stars as he looks to mount an immediate assault on promotion.

And signing Pritchard, who was named in the divisional team of the year the last time he appeared at that level, would be a step towards achieving that goal.
