Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Southampton have been linked with Stevenage defender Ben Wilmot in the January transfer window.

It has been reported that Tottenham are interested in Wilmot and are closing monitoring the 18-year-old defender’s situation.

The report has also claimed that should Spurs secure the services of the youngster this month, then he will be part of the club’s academy and not the firs-team squad for the time being.
Football.London has also claimed that Tottenham’s Premier League rivals, Liverpool and Southampton, are interested in the League Two defender.

Tottenham look good defensively at the moment, but Wilmot is a talented and promising young player and can only get better in the coming years.
With Liverpool and Southampton also claimed to be interested in the teenager, it would not be a bad idea from Spurs to sign the youngster and then loan him back to Stevenage for the rest of the season.
Stevenage are 15th in the League Two table at the moment with 34 points from 27 matches.
