Tottenham Hotspur winger would reportedly rather head back to France.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou reportedly refused a loan move to Mainz, according to French website But! Football.
N’Koudou is reportedly holding out for a move to Saint Etienne instead, with the Ligue 1 side eyeing him up as one of two potential additions, along with Guingamp’s Yannis Salibur.
Since then there have been no clear developments, and But! Football‘s report offers a reasonable explanation for what has since transpired.
Saint-Etienne were linked with N’Koudou by L’Equipe earlier this week as they look to add to their squad after an injury to Romain Hamouma.

N’Koudou apparently prefers to head back to his native France, although he could have to reconsider if Saint Etienne’s interest does not formalise, and Mainz’s remains on the table.
The winger shone in pre-season for Spurs and it looked like his breakthrough in North London could finally materialise after two poor campaigns since he joined.
It appears Spurs are still happy to let him go, and N’Koudou did not even make the bench against Fulham at the weekend, even with Heung-Min Son away on international duty.
