Tottenham Hotspur appear to have themselves a top talent for the future in the form of Irish youngster Troy Parrott.

The talented attacker will sign professional terms with the club when he turns 16-years-old, as reported by Extra.

The Belvedere attacker is said to have interested the likes of Everton and Celtic but in the end Spurs won the battle to sign the player.

The report from Extra goes on to discuss the player in detail, including just how it came to be that Spurs made such a concerted effort to sign the player.

He travelled with Spurs’ under-16s last summer to Belgium and impressed so much in a fixture with Club Brugge that London club offered him a pre-contract for when he turns 16. In fact, Maurizio Pochettino, the son of Tottenham boss Mauricio, advised his father of Parrott’s talent.

The report also states that Parrott has signed on with Unique Sports Management, who also represent Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane – along with the likes of Michail Antonio, Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend.

It is a long way until Tottenham fans are likely to see Parrott anywhere near the first-team, he needs to turn 16 first.

But Republic of Ireland fans are certain that Parrott is a future star for their nation and Tottenham appear to have him tied down going forward.

Maybe one day he will be playing in the first-team of Pochettino at White Hart Lane.
