According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur are finally willing to do a deal with Everton for Ross Barkley.

Tottenham have been chasing the 23-year-old for most of the summer but a hamstring injury suffered earlier this month was thought to have made Spurs focus on other options.

However, The Daily Mail reports that the Lilywhites “remain keen” and are willing to do a £30 million deal with Everton.

The report goes on to claim that Mauricio Pochettino’s number two Jesus Perez is the “driving force” behind wanting to get Barkley signed up before tonight’s deadline.

The North Londoners could do with some attacking talent today.

Tottenham have spent over £50 million on transfers this summer but they have been on two defenders – Davinson Sanchez and Juan Foyth – and goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga.

Their defence was already rock solid, based on last season, so if Pochettino can add further talent up front and attacking midfield then it would be great for Spurs fans.
