According to Eurosport, Tottenham Hotspur will not announce the signing of a new contract from Son Heung-min until the end of the season.
It has been reported that talks between Tottenham and Son over a new contract are ‘very advanced’.
The report has added that Spurs are ‘fully aware’ how important the South Korea international is to the squad, further stating that they will not sell the 28-year-old, who cost the North London club £22 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2015, as reported by The Guardian at the time.

Son has been superb for Spurs over the years and has played consistently well.
Despite not being a striker when he first arrived at Tottenham, he has developed into a very importance source of goals and also creates chances for his teammates.
According to WhoScored, Son has scored 13 goals and provided six assists in 22 Premier League games so far this season and in 2019-20, he found the back of the net 11 times and gave 10 assists in the league.
Meanwhile, Son has said that he enjoys playing with star striker Harry Kane, adding that he missed his Tottenham teammate when he was out injured.
BBC Sport quotes Son as saying after the win against West Bromwich Albion at the weekend: “Harry Kane is so, so important for us. He is one of the best strikers in the world. It was only a couple of games but we missed him a lot. Him coming back and scoring straight away. I missed him.”
