Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have been offered Nicolas Gaitan, according to a report.

According to The Daily Mail’s Transfer Blog (entry posted at 14:48), Watford are weighing up a loan move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Nicolas Gaitan – after he was offered to West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur over “recent days”.
The 29-year-old endured a frustrating first season at Atletico, playing a bit-part role under Diego Simeone as the ex-Benfica star started just 11 Primera Division outings.
As a result, he might be on the move away from the Spanish capital and The Daily Mail report that Watford are considering a loan move for the Argentina international.

The report goes on to claim that Tottenham and West Ham have been offered the talented midfielder this week, though it remains to be seen what their answer is.
It would’ve been a very decent signing a couple of years ago when he was linked with Manchester United but his stint at Atletico has seen his stock fall a little bit.

Tottenham have already wrapped up a deal for Serge Aurier on deadline day, with Fernando Llorente seemingly set to follow, while West Ham have signed nobody as of yet today.
Gaitan, worth around £18 million according to Transfermarkt, is contracted to Atleti until 2020.
