Report: Tottenham Hotspur watching player Manchester United have loaned out

According to Eurosport, Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Jesse Lingard from Manchester United in the summer of 2021.

Lingard joined West Ham on loan from United in the January transfer window and is scheduled to return to the Red Devils at the end of the season.

The report has claimed the the Hammers want to keep the England international, who is being watched by Spurs and Leicester City as well.

Lingard has been superb for West Ham since he joined the London club on loan and even earned a recall to the England squad for their recent international games.

According to WhoScored, the 28-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, has scored six goals and provided three assists in eight Premier League games for the Hammers so far this campaign.

Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho worked with Lingard when he was at United, and the Portuguese knows the Englishman fully well.

Given how well Lingard is doing at West Ham, United could well decide to keep him in the squad next season.
