Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want to Victor Wanyama on transfer deadline day.

According to Sky Sports Transfer Live blog (10:33am, Thursday, August 8, 2019), Tottenham Hotspur are open to selling Vincent Wanyama on transfer deadline day.

Spurs, though, are struggling to find the former Celtic defensive midfielder a club, as Bournemouth – who were interested in the 28-year-old Kenya international before signing Phillip Billing – are not looking at him anymore, according to the report.

Burnley and Brighton and Hove Albion have also been interested, but the Clarets and the Seagulls now want Aaron Mooy and Danny Drinkwater respectively, it has been claimed.

Tottenham Hotspur exit?

Wanyama is a very good defensive midfielder, but the former Celtic and Southampton star has struggled to make a huge impact at Tottenham.

The Kenya international has been injured, and that has not helped him in establishing himself as a key figure in manager Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

The 28-year-old is still good enough to play for a top club in England, and if Spurs are unable to offload him today, then the North London outfit should try to find him a club in mainland Europe later this month.
