Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on Thomas Delaney

Denamrk's Thomas Delaney celebrates after scoring the 1-0 during the FIFA World Cup 2018 qualification football match between Denmark and Poland in Copenhagen on September 1, 2017.

According to Bild, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Werder Bremen midfielder Thomas Delaney.

The 26-year-old reportedly “dreams” of playing in the Premier League and Spurs are seemingly keen on giving him his wish.

The report adds that Delaney – contracted to the Bundesliga side until 2021 – would cost Tottenham around £13 million.

Bad news for Winks?

Tottenham are flush with quality midfielders and they wouldn’t be interested in signing another unless Mauricio Pochettino had plans to offload or loan one out.

Harry Winks of Tottenham in action during the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and AFC Bournemouth at Wembley Stadium on October 14, 2017 in London, England.

And Harry Winks seems the most likely figure to suffer by Delaney’s potential arrival.

Moussa Dembele, Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama are unlikely to be going anywhere, though Winks, who had a fine first half of the season, has been nowhere to be seen in recent weeks despite recovering from injury.

Delaney, who bagged an assist in Denmark’s 1-0 win over Panama on Thursday, has started 25 Bundesliga games this season.
