Sampdoria starlet Patrick Schick is on the radar of countless European superclubs, Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich and Inter for starters.
It’s fair to say Patrick Schick has endured a turbulent summer.
The Sampdoria wonderkid, one of the most exciting young forwards in European football, had looked set to form a thrilling forward line with Paolo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain at Juventus, only for a reported heart problem flagged up in his medical to put an end to the £26 million deal, as reported by The Sun.
Yet, that does not appear to have put rival suitors off. According to Calciomercato, Schick is still a primary target for Serie A rivals Inter Milan while Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have recently entered the race, with new tests revealing that the youngster is fit to play with few concerns.
Furthermore, Czech publication Daily Sport claim that Tottenham, who have tracked Schick’s progress since April, remain interested in the 21-year-old. However, the Juve saga and the concurrent delay in this ongoing transfer saga has not done Spurs, or their bank balance, any favours.

Schick’s agent, Pavel Paska, confirmed that the £22.5 million release clause in his Sampdoria contract was valid only until July 15th.
Therefore, Samp can now demand far more for their prized asset, and interest from Bayern, Inter and even PSG means Tottenham, who are yet to spend a penny this summer, face being priced out.
Nonetheless, Schick is the kind of special talent that could take Tottenham, Premier League runners’ up and FA Cup semi-finalists last season, to the next level.
The 21-year-old’s tally of 11 goals in 14 Serie A starts is nothing short of remarkable while his stunning flick and finish against Crotone in April called to mind a certain Arsenal legend by the name of Dennis Bergkamp.
Spurs’ penny-pinching chairman Daniel Levy will have to dip his hand deep into his pocket but Schick is worth the heavy investment.
